We were commissioned to integrate the controls on a new 300 Ton York chiller into a seven story medical facility. The chiller was installed to replace an old absorption unit. We previously upgraded the original pneumatic building control system with a hybrid consisting of truly open, multi-vendor LonWorks™ based digital controls along with the original pneumatic operators. The Graphical User Interface displayed the entire building envelope via the Web utilizing Echelon iLon100s.
The new chiller was provided by York with a local operating panel. We seamlessly integrated the York factory controls to the existing Lon™ network and web enabled the entire system. The graphics of the chiller look and function like those on the chiller’s local operating panel.
